The job holder will also develop and deliver the Knowledge Centre strategy to further develop the research and enquiry services for internal clients, external clients and BSI Members. Management of a team of 3 information specialists, with responsibility for quality and timely delivery of all knowledge and research services by the team. To lead on the evolution of services in response to rapidly changing customer requirements, with a particular focus on new opportunities presented by digitisation.

We are seeking a Knowledge Centre and Research Manager based in Chiswick, West London.
You will have good experience of team leadership, financial management (revenue and cost) and of evolving research and enquiry services in line with changing customer expectations, with a particular focus on digital transformation.
Experience of resourcing and managing an enquiry service requiring a rapid turnaround time and high quality of response and a consultative approach to understanding customer requirements and issues.
Data analysis, bibliographic database and internet searches and working directly (face to face and remotely) with clients on research briefs, the design of research services and the delivery and presentation of research projects.
Experience of working within a Membership Body and knowledge of standards and the standards development process is highly desirable.
Excellent presentation skills (verbal, written and formal), line management, coaching, mentoring and training skills and IT literate, with a good understanding of the potential that digitisation of content, delivery channels and formats have to evolve enquiry and research activities.
Research skills, with ability to provide insight and overviews from large data sets is essential.
Degree level or equivalent with a professional qualification in information or research services is ideal.
