This is an opportunity to deliver high quality standardization services projects across a wide range of subject areas for a variety of industries.
You’ll be one of a number of Editorial Project Managers, Project Managers and Lead Project Managers within the Content Development team, managing the drafting, editing, development and publication of client-sponsored standards (e.g. BSI PASs and private standards) and national standards (e.g. British Standards). You’ll also have the opportunity to deliver other client-sponsored standardization services, such as standards mapping and scoping exercises, for a range of public and private organizations.
This role offers real diversity and variety, where one minute you’ll be at your desk editing an industry standard and the next you’re face-to-face with a group of experts, working with them to achieve consensus on the content of the standard. Strong communication, project management skills, analytical skills and editorial skills are at the heart of this role. You’ll have constant interaction and engagement with a variety of clients, authors, industry experts and other project stakeholders. This role is perfect for an experienced technical editor ready to take on the additional challenge of managing the delivery of high profile client-sponsored and committee-driven standardization services projects.

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Content Solutions department, working as Editorial Project Manager within the Content Development team in Chiswick, West London.
To be successful in this role you’ll have strong editorial and publishing skills, a thorough knowledge of drafting and editing rules and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with first class editing and rewriting skills.
You’ll be managing multiple projects across a variety of topics so strong project management skills are a must. With this you’ll need to use your strong interpersonal and influencing skills to confidently present to and chair meetings with groups of senior industry representatives, government officials and academics. You may already be a project manager or technical editor.
Whilst not an industry expert yourself, you’ll still be able to critically assess the needs of an industry and help draft a standard that addresses these needs. You’ll relish the opportunity to find out more about an industry, a product or service, and help clients find solutions through standardization.
