  • The Opportunity

     

    To design and develop high quality training products for commercial use by BSI’s global training business. The role includes both the development of new courses, and the maintenance of existing courses through training product updates and revisions. The scope of the position encompasses all methods of delivery, including (but not limited to): instructor-led training, blended learning, eLearning and distance learning.  As the incumbent, you will report directly to the Global Training Development Manager and project manage closely Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) when developing courses.

     

    You will also ensure that development projects are completed on time and by project managing SME’s closely. As a Global Training Course Developer, you will be an essential member of the Global Training Product Development Team, and play an important part in driving the growth of BSI’s global training business.

    We currently have an exciting opportunity as Global Training Course Developer based at our offices in Milton Keynes on a fixed term contract for 1 year.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to gain experience working in a office environment and developing MS Office skills specifically within PowerPoint and Word.  This role is a great stepping stone to kick start your career in course development at entry level.

      

     

     

    About You

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

     

    • Exceptional use of MS Office, specifically: PowerPoint and Word
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional written skills, including strong use of grammar and writing styles
    • High attention to detail, including formatting, editing and proofreading
    • Ability to be creative and innovative in course design and development
    • Ability to understand concepts quickly and accurately
    • Ability to troubleshoot course design and development problems
    • Ability to manage workloads effectively, including balancing scheduling conflicts and changing development priorities
    • Extremely well organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

     Additionally, it will be beneficial if applicants possess the following:

      • The ability to read a Standard (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, OHSAS 18001 etc.) and understand its purpose, structure, and key requirements
      • Familiarity with Standards (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, OHSAS 18001 etc.) so that differences can be identified and understood
