  • The Opportunity

    The Security Testing Consultant will have strong technical skills, people skills, with a minimum of 3 years testing experience and be capable of working under support on complex jobs, and capable of leading and delivering a variety of complex testing scenarios. 

     

    The Security Testing Consultant must be capable of carrying out internal and external vulnerability testing and basic web application penetration testing independently.

     

    The Security Testing Consultant must be familiar with and capable of assessing system configurations, including firewalls, network devices and Windows and Linux servers. In addition, the Security Testing Consultant should proactively develop and maintain their own technical skills.

     

    This is a client facing role where your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be vital. With varied assignments working as part of a team or alone, your security skills and understanding of risk will ensure improved security for our clients.

    Ideally you’ll have conducted security assessments under the CHECK Scheme previously and have good people skills, and a strong technical background.

    About You

    To be successful in this role you’ll have a passion for technology and good awareness of the associated security risks. You should have a strong technical background including experience of networks and Operating Systems. Self-motivation and the ability to effectively manage your own time and responsibilities is crucial to being successful in delivering the high quality Cyber Security services that BSI CSIR clients expect.

     

    You should be able to demonstrate your skills and experience as a CHECK Team Member (CTM) or equivalent qualifications such as CREST Registered Penetration Tester or Tigerscheme Qualified Security Team Member (QSTM).

     

    Due to the nature of the work you will need to be capable of holding (or already have) UK Government Clearance to SC level.
