We are looking for an experienced food assessor that is also comfortable delivering food sector training courses. You will prepare reports and presentations to deliver findings to clients. Acting as a brand ambassador for BSI, you will be an integral part of promoting our services to clients enabling them to optimize business performance and 'Make Excellence a Habit'.
Food is an important Sector, it’s big and represents 10% Global GDP or US$48 trillion according to the World Bank. 1:10 people fall ill and millions die from food borne illnesses annually. Feeding the world will require 30% more food by 2030 and 70% by 2050. Changing consumer needs will require constant attention to food quality, safety, traceability, sustainability, OHS, ethical and social responsibility issues. BSI believes the quality and sustainability of our food supply must be safeguarded - with over 2,800 Food and Agri standards in our portfolio we are well positioned to be an Industry thought leader.

BSI is committed to building strong leadership in the Food Sector globally, this newly created role is part of the Global Food Sector team and will work closely our champion team to build a robust Food business to differentiate BSI in the market, demonstrating to customers that BSI are the business partner of choice with the Food Industry.
To be successful in this role you’ll have a passion to improve, taking pride in what you do and having a methodical approach to your work. You’ll have the confidence to communicate with all levels within a business, and discuss how you can help them to improve their organisation.
We help our clients achieve best practice so that means you’ll need to have the ability to assimilate, articulate and present information at a high level. You’ll be working constantly with clients so excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal communication and written report writing skills are also essential.
Having the knowledge and experience in the Food Sector business is vital. You’ll have knowledge of BRC, food safety management, ISO/FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System, HACCP, GMP and PAS 220.
Of course, as our clients are based in a variety of locations across the UK so the ability to travel extensively is also a must as travel is an essential part of the role which could include overnight stays.
