  • The Opportunity

    About the Role  

    We are looking to recruit a talented person to work closely with our management team in delivering projects within our Privacy and Data Protection portfolio under the direction of the Head of Professional Services.

    Your key objectives will be to support the delivery of Data Protection and Privacy projects, including:

    • Data Protection/GDPR compliance assessments or gap analyse
    • Assessing controls across the lifecycle of personal data
    • Advising organisations on Data Protection best practice
    • Assisting in the delivery of data protection advisory engagements
    • Delivering policies/procedures, training/awareness, personal data inventories/lifecycles, control re-design
    • Supporting and delivering internal audit reviews

    Candidates should have a strong understanding of, and ideally expertise, in at least some of the following areas:

    • Knowledge of current and evolving data protection legislation and regulations in Ireland, Europe and around the world (including, for example: General Data Protection Regulation, Data Protection Acts (1988 and 2003), ePrivacy Regulation)
    • Knowledge of privacy frameworks and management systems such as ISO 29100 and BS10012
    • Knowledge of ICT and Information Security standards (e.g. ISO 27000 series) and their trends
    • ICT and Information Security policies
    • Risk and Data Protection Impact Assessments
    • Subject Access Request Processing
    • Report writing and strong communication / delivery skills

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant/Junior Consultant to work based out of our Dublin office as part of our Ireland & International Delivery team.

    About You

    About You

    You’ll likely have a third level qualification in IT, Audit, Security, Compliance or Legal, ideally with some further privacy or data protection education or certifications (this is not a must). This will be supported with work experience in one of these areas.

    You’ll have a desire to work in a constantly changing environment as part of a team of privacy and cyber-security experts.

    You’ll be an innovative thinker with strong organisational skills. 

    Interpersonal skills are a must, and you will have strong communication skills.

    You’ll have a strong ability to manage multiple projects and achieve delivery within set deadlines.

    You’ll be a problem solver and have excellent report writing skills.

    You’ll understand IT and business risks and be able to identify, develop and test internal control policies and procedures.

    You’ll ideally hold, or be willing to pursue, a certification in one or more of the following or equivalent;

    ·         Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PDP)

    ·         Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E)

    ·         Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)

    ·         Certified Information System Manager (CISM)

    ·         Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

     

    Candidates must have a valid work visa.
