  • The Opportunity

    The External Funding Manager is a key role within BSI Knowledge Solutions in what is a growth area of the business, especially during the UK’s adaptation to Brexit-led change.


    The role offers great exposure within the business working across commercial, operational, policy and finance teams. There is day to day interaction at both Executive and delivery levels and with our funding partners.


    The Funding Manager sets the agenda for the Internal Funding Team and the successful candidate will provide a consistent and robust governance overlay to how we win and deliver funding.  As our funding sources become more varied and complicated, this is becoming an ever more important role that offers the opportunity to develop within a supportive organization that delivers across a variety of funding sources.

    About You

    • Demonstrable experience of designing & implementing processes around the use of public funds, to meet funding and governance objectives in a public and/or private sector environment, is essential
    • Experience of funding proposal / bid development
    • Evidence of delivery of results by effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
    • Proven ability to assimilate and analyse a wide variety of information quickly and effectively
    • Strong programme management, project management & administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to work under own initiative, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines under pressure
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent
    • Fluent in English with excellent numeracy & communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Familiarity with standardization would be an advantage and highly desirable but not essential
