  • The Opportunity

    The purpose of this role is to manage the business development activities, driving the process forward by liaising with key stakeholders to produce and support the production of high quality tenders and consistently deliver solutions to meet customers’ needs. The role will also work within the Sales Service Centre managing and visiting, as required, clients for lead generation and qualification to deliver business sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    • Identify and research target companies within the local market place
    • Initiate outbound calls to qualified, prospective clients at a senior level
    • Present key benefits of our products while focusing on specific-customer needs
    • Consistently move the customer towards a positive buying decision or commitment
    • Closely manage and grow existing accounts to maximise existing relationships
    • Help identify growth opportunities and achieve objectives
    • Achieve sales targets
    • Work with the various sales channels to identify support activity / projects that positively impact BSI and overall customer experience
    • Interact with customers to resolve sales and service related issues and monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
    • Maintain relevant technical product-related knowledge and general sales techniques and trends
    • Identifying strategies and preparing a tender plan to ensure all tenders and bids are acted upon within strict deadlines.
    • Managing customer relationships, ensuring a high level of customer care is maintained throughout.
    • Liaising proactively with the Auditors/Key Client Managers ensuring they are fully briefed and supported to put the contract into operation.
    • Supporting the General Manager – Sales & Marketing to identify new business opportunities
    • Achieve new business sales targets

    About You

    • Previous experience in a similar role
    • Experience in preparing tenders
    • Preferably Degree qualified or extensive experience in sales and/or customer service, ideally with experience of business and professional services including training
    • Client first mindset which will deliver Service Excellence
    • Sales experience with a consultative solutions sales approach
    • A passion & goal to build a career in sales
    • Strong speed & urgency in communication skills, both written and oral
    • Ability to capture detailed customer requirements
    • Experience in sales administration and CRM automation systems e.g. Salesforce desirable
    • Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills
