  • The Opportunity

    Accountable for strategic marketing and revenue delivery for key products within the Standards and Publishing portfolio. This role is responsible for maximizing customer perception/experience, brand impact and market exposure of our key subscription and membership products from acquisition through to renewal and reengagement. With direct responsibility for developing and maintaining a sustainable lead generation engine this role will continually look to increase market penetration, average order value sales performance and revenue delivery.

     

    Work with key internal stakeholders in Sales, Product Management, Standards Publishing, Customer Services and others to provide strategic marketing support including customer feedback/needs on content and functionality, value proposition, competitor offering analysis, up-to-date market intelligence, sales support and training.

     

    This role will work closely with the Head of Marketing and assist as required with the development and/or execution of departmental, product or corporate strategies and strategic direction.

     

    The position will be the product ‘champion’ responsible for the subscription, product-life cycle, membership acquisition and retention, digital marketing strategy and take a leadership role in the marketing team delivering all projects to a high standard, on budget and in a timely fashion.

    About You

    • Proven successful commercial approach
    • Proactive and results orientated, with the ability to balance multiple projects and spontaneous marketing opportunities that may arise
    • Excellent understanding of all marketing channels coupled with current understanding of digital marketing trends and opportunities. Demonstrable experience in digital, social and content marketing within a subscription environment will be a distinct advantage
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written adapted to all levels of internal stakeholders and external contacts representing the BSI brand
    • Proven experience of developing strong internal working relationships across functions and ability to influence
    • Excellent copy and design evaluation skills and the ability to identify the ‘story’ around a product
    • External/industry focus with ability to bring new ideas and experiment
    • High performing team management experience highly desirable
    • International marketing experience is highly desirable
    • 5+ years’ experience marketing digital subscription products with a focus on strategic marketing
    • Graduate (or equivalent) with marketing qualification desirable (eg CIM)
