  • The Opportunity

    We now have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee / Graduate Certification Manager within our successful Product Certification team, the purpose of the position is to manage the certification schemes for the Electrical Area. 

     

    Working in either of our testing laboratories that are based at Loughborough or Hemel Hempstead you will be playing a pivotal role managing the certification schemes.  You will be responsible for the initial review of the various products as well as the client’s technical files managing the on-going surveillance requirements for product certification.

     

    The role will be office based but there may be a requirement for the successful individual to carry out factory assessments as well as interface with a global base of customers by email, phone and face-to-face both on BSI and clients premises which could be anywhere in the World.

    About You

    We are looking at different background for this role such as an entry level graduate idealy with a HNC or HND in an Electrical or Electronic discipline or a Electrical engineer with customer facing skills or someone that is now looking for a change in their career, full training is on offer for successful candidate.

     

    Skills:

    • Able to problem solve quickly and effectively
    • Have a technical ability and be able to understand the workings of different Electrical  products
    • Be able to understand manufacturing processes and the inputs that they require
    • Be able to organise their own workloads and schedules with minimal supervision
    • Able to discuss technical issues with customers
    • Able to read and understand product specifications
