  • The Opportunity

    In order to support innovation within the Knowledge Solutions division of BSI, the Business Analyst will define business requirements to support the creation, enhancement and delivery of digital ‘smart’ content to commercial channels.

     

     

    The successful candidate will be heavily focussed on requirement analysis and solution design and will contribute to cross-functional project teams.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partnering with internal stakeholders and selected vendors to agree solution options that support the delivery of new and enhanced content to commercial channels.
    • Working with business sponsors and operational contacts to fully understand, document and verify their requirements
    • Understanding and documenting business processes and workflows, evaluating their relevance to current and future practices and at the request of the delivery teams, work with them to identify operational efficiencies by studying business functions
    • Assisting in monitoring project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; contributing to progress/RAG reports
    • Creating user documentation for operational users on project completion, ensuring relevance to the appropriate audience
    • Representing Content Solutions in project and supplier meetings and, when appropriate, accompany the Sales and Product teams in exploratory conversations with existing and prospective customers

    • You will be Degree level qualified or have equivalent publishing experience working with content systems
    • You will be an experienced Business Analyst used to working on multiple concurrent projects
    • Have solid experience of defining and/or working with content systems
    • Have a proven ability to successfully engage with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix organisation
    • Strong stakeholder management
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent communicator; both written and verbal
