  • The Opportunity

    Reporting in to the Head of Account Management, the primary purpose for this role is to deliver on the business growth targets of an existing portfolio of accounts, through maintaining and growing existing Corporate Memberships and annual online subscriptions with our subscription products; BSOL & Eurocodes Plus in a regional territory within the UK. You will be responsible for implementing a Strategic Plan for your portfolio and implement account plans to manage, research and identify growth and new business opportunities within these managed accounts and develop a commercial understanding of customer needs to maximise satisfaction and reviewing product usage to grow the business. The role also requires active engagement and promotion of BSI Standards’ products and solutions to customers whilst maintaining strong relationships with the internal support teams.

    We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Standards Sales department, working as a Regional Account Manager within the UK Sales team covering the Northern Region.

    About You

    To be successful in this role you’ll have strong account management and customer relationship skills and must have a commercial focus to deliver account growth within your accounts. Most importantly, you will have a thirst to develop business opportunities within existing accounts and demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to understand customer needs, challenge their assumptions and provide insight on how information and online solutions can improve a business’s efficiency, profitability and reduce risk.

    You’ll be managing multiple accounts across a variety of customers, so strong organisational and time management skills are a must. With this you’ll need to use your strong interpersonal and influencing skills to confidently present to and manage customer visits. You will have demonstrable experience in exceeding customer expectations to drive business growth and have experience of success within a direct sales roles, preferably with a publishing or information industries background working with online solutions for professionals.
