  • The Opportunity

    Acting in a stand-alone capacity as a member of the HR Europe team, support the delivery of a proactive and professional HR service to the Dutch business and provide an efficient HR support to the wider Europe Cluster.

    The Europe Cluster covers whole Europe with offices in The Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Poland and Russia. You will be part of our Europe HR team, with one HR Advisor based in France and one in Italy. You will report into the HR Manager Europe, based in Italy. In this role you’ll have daily contact with the Managing Director of the Netherlands and have a dotted reporting line into him.

    After a solid hand over period, you will be the point of contact for the Management Team of BSI Group the Netherlands and wider Europe cluster. Also you are, together with the payroll provider, responsible for the monthly payroll administration for BSI the Netherlands and able to guide your managers through the processes within BSI.

    There are a lot of exciting projects happening during this period:
    - The implementation of Workday (new global HR system to replace our current system SAP)
    - The transfer of pension providers per the 1th of January 2019
    - The setup of a workers council
    - Manage and support the results of the Brexit for BSI the Netherlands
    - Manage and support of a Transformation Programm

     

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

     

    • Provide first line support, guidance and advice to managers and employees on all HR related topics
    • Responsible for providing an administration service to support the activities undertaken by the HR team, including creating employment contracts, manage leavers, absence and projects for the Europe cluster
    • Responsible for the monthly payroll process
    • Support the recruitment team in case or recruitment activities
    • Coordinate local activities with authorities and insurance companies
    • Support the on boarding process for new starters
    • Provide support and guidance to line managers and employees on HR systems
    • Support the production of Management information and KPI on key HR metrics
    • Support colleagues when necessary to ensure that the highest standards of HR services are delivered through continually reviewing and improving processes
    • Carry out or contribute to ad-hoc projects as required, to support the achievement of department and functional objectives
    • Proactively keep abreast of Dutch legislation changes

In the Netherlands we are currently looking for an HR Advisor from November 2018 until the end of June 2019 (maternity cover). We are growing fast, so it is possible that the period will be extended into a permanent role.

    About You

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

    • Bachelor degree HRM and able to give solid HR advice on all HR related topics
    • Experience of working in a stand-alone remote position within a pressurised, commercial, matrix business
    • Excellent HR and payroll administration experience
    • Knowledge of Dutch legislation, (knowledge of Russian or Polish legislation would be beneficial)
    • Strong written and verbal communication in Dutch and English (preferably also Russian or Polish)
    • Experience in implementing new HR systems like Workday is preferred
    • High standards of accuracy, quality and efficiency and a strong customer focus
    • Proactive, solution orientated and enthusiastic team-player
