The Customer Relations Advisor is responsible for being the first point of contact for customers contacting BSI, answering their queries through written and verbal communication.
As a Customer Relations Advisor, your main duty will be to respond to customer queries by telephone and email. The range of queries is wide and can include processing orders for documents, generating quotations for subscriptions, helping customers to use our online store and subscription products, and booking conferences. You will be expected to seize opportunities to cross and upsell subscriptions, generating leads for the account managers to follow up. Retaining knowledge of different teams within BSI is required to provide an efficient switchboard service. With Customer Focus prominent in the department, all queries must be dealt with within a 24 hour SLA.

We are looking for someone who has a drive for continuously exceeding the level of customer service they deliver.
To be successful in this role you will be required to meet given targets and deadlines within a process driven environment. You will need the ability to learn and retain a high volume of information, both systems and product based. It is essential to be a good team player who shares knowledge, works collaboratively across the business, uses initiative and is self-motivated. You will be accurate and precise with a drive for continuous improvement. You must have good verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail.
Experience of dealing with a mix of verbal and written customer contact is advantageous, as are basic sales and troubleshooting skills.
In addition you’ll need to be educated to GSCE level or equivalent with grade C or above in English and Mathematics, be IT proficient and have an intermediate level of Microsoft office and Outlook.
