  • The Opportunity

    We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Sales department for a Field Sales Manager within our highly successful Product Certification sales team.


    Playing a pivotal role you will be responsible for managing a team of seven Business Development Managers whom are field based located around the North of England and Scotland regions.  This role offers real diversity and variety; you’ll be representing BSI whilst managing and coaching a team of successful sales people to maximise sales across the BSI portfolio of products and services to a wide range of existing and new clients across a wide range of business sectors.

    About You

    To be successful in this role you will need the following skills:

    • Significant experience of successfully leading large external sales teams.
    • A good understanding of various sales process and practices or the ability to quickly gain knowledge to add value.
    • A good working knowledge of both field and office ERP systems and procedures.
    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
    • A good understanding of Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems.
    • An excellent relationship builder, who establishes rapport and credibility quickly.
    • Strong communicator, both verbal and written.
    • Strong understanding of modern consultative selling techniques.
    • Exemplary organisational and time management skills.
    • A proven track record of coaching sales people/managers to deliver great results.
    • Ability to manage team as well as balancing scheduling conflicts.
    • Solutions oriented, with the ability to cut through complexity.

    The role will be home based however will need to be able to visit the head office on a regular bases in Milton Keynes, we are offering a basic of up to £59k depending on experience, Commission, company car with 27 days annual leave with the opportunity to increase this to 30 days.
